FAQ:

Can this be used as a mobile point-of-sale?
Absolutely! Our entire interface looks beautiful on mobile and you can have seperate non-admin accounts for your employees. They can create invoices but can't access funds.

Is there an application process? What kinds of merchants can use this software?
There is no application process, just download and run. As long as your business is legal under US law, you can use BareBits.

How do fees work?
Fees are automatically taken out by redirecting incoming payments or pulling funds from your cashu mint (if enabled). If an incoming payment is smaller than the amount of fees due, it is transparently redirected to the BareBits developers. This is shown on the invoices/stats pages in the admin section.

What happens if BareBits shuts down?
The software is completely independent of any infrastructure owned by BareBits, you host it yourself. So nothing.

I don't want to deal with managing liquidity in a lightning wallet, how can I avoid that?

If you have Electrum, there is a plugin for liquidity management. You can also use a provider (Strike, CoinOS, etc) or use a cashu mint. BareBits will automatically sweep funds from your mint into your on-chain wallet when economical and forward payments via lightning when you have inbound liquidity available.
