Hello frens,

I’m coming back from the dead (health-wise boo-boos and all). I’m glad, grateful, and finally ready to announce: it's that time of the month, it's nearly here,  I’m almost finished with my blog entry! 🎉

It’s a revamped version of a post I’ve planned to tweak for a long time. But since I'm working in a bit snail-slow pace, it's been longer than I thought it would take me but I’m getting there! 

As for what I've been reading, thankfully, despite the horrendous and traumatic experience I had with the last Wheel of Time book (you know which one), I kept believing and I’m onto the next one. I don’t want to jinx it, but it’s been good so far. Don’t let me down, Mr. Jordan! 

I’m also reading some “autumnal stuff.” I’ll share those later once I’ve finished them, because I don’t want to be wrong too many times (in case Wheel of Time decides to suck again).

For now, here’s some of the music that’s been keeping me company:

Jimmy Eat World, mic drop 🎤

I could leave it at that… but I’m gonna elaborate. Let’s do a little memory lane thing. 

Jimmy Eat World still hasn’t dropped an album since 2019 (according to my very quick research). A few singles here and there, but no full album. That’s a real bummer, because the last one was really good.

Starting in no particular order:

The single All The Way is just such a whimsical and "let's jump together and see where this goes" kinda song and the video really goes along with it. I love it that they keep writing songs with "honey", this one is no exception. 

555 that video is really funny, the song is not. The song is actually really sad sad sad (hehehe) but I still love it.

 The Diamond and Surviving songs are just amazing!

Jimmy Eat World really know how to cheer us up! They are such a breath of fresh air, full of possibilities and that “let’s keep moving” energy. They’re so sweet and always put me in a positive mood. That’s how a diamond grows in time, I believe it, cause I’ve seen it with my eyes. 🎶 ❤️

I think Congratulations, the closing track, is chef's kiss, they really nailed it there.

Bleed American,  does it need any explanation?

The Middle, Sweetness (WOOOOOOH), If You Don't, Don't. It's just one after the other.

A Praise Chorus really is such a banger th th th things are never gonna be the way you want, where is it gonna get you acting seriiiiiiiiiiiiious? Your House, you rip my heart right out, you rip my heart right out! Get it faster Aah aah aah I'm going out I dont care if you're angry! 😡 

Then came Futures with Pain, a true teenage classic. It encapsulates it all, Just Tonight I TRULY LOVE IT: I give you anything, but you want paiiiiin. And another sad one, Polaris.

Heart Is Hard To Find, such a bittersweet song but a pretty good one from Invented. They’re great with their opener tracks, they really grab you by the throat and don’t let go.  Action Needs An Audience A nice spin, since vocalist Jim Adkins isn’t singing on this one.

 Now Integrity Blues has one of my favorite transitions from song to song: Pretty Grids, Why not? The sun just feels too gooooood, Pass The Baby, Get Right and (OH, HONEY) You Are Free.

They’re perfection for me. I love the defeating sadness of Pretty Grids, the eerie vibes from Pass The Baby, and then the angry, frustrated Get Rightleading to celebratory You Are Free ,I just love it.

The other albums are good too, I just prefer these ones. There are bangers like Disintegration or Table For Glasses 

That's pretty much it, folks. 

The days are getting cooler and way shorter. I made a homemade pizza the other day, and last week I baked a brownie and some chocolate chip cookies. I’m planning on making pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and cinnamon rolls. I wanna be trendy, but also… mmmm, autumn is just here. Let’s celebrate! 🎃🍁

Baking isn’t miserable when the weather isn’t scorching hot. Anyway, will you bake something yummy for yourself or maybe for your loved ones?
