I hope your weekend was refreshing, comfortable, and all those soul- and heart-replenishing things with people you love, hopefully.
Oh, how I'm happy about this one! This one is about (drum roll, please...) my weirdo, Mr. Lovecraft! ๐
I did one two years ago, but I was still even more of an amateur than I am today with words AND with my artwork. I did not do justice to his work, not with words, not with my illustrations. So now, here I bring you a revamped blog entry.
Hopefully, you'll enjoy it and tell me what you think. Heck, maybe you've read a short story or two from good old Grandpa Theobald! I'd love to know: What do you think about his work? And what do you think about my blog entry?
Keep on going, my frens! Take care, and wishing the best to y'all!
First of all your octos are awesome. I loved your drawings. Thanks to share.
But, in your website, you seems to disable selecting any text, i like to highlight and share the lines while i reading but without selecting, its not possible. So its a technical feedback.
And I bookmarked your post, i will read it!
Have a nice day!
thank you that means a lot to me! ๐ฎ๐ฆ
H P Lovecraft sounds a lot like one of my favorite authors (and a contemporary of Lovecraft's), Robert E Howard -- the creator of Conan the Barbarian, Solomon Kane, and Krull.
They both were devoted to their mothers and a little (or in Howard's case, a lot) broken by their mothers' deaths.
I have never actually read any Lovecraft, despite being a great fan of the short stories of that era. Your post has encouraged me to make it an October endeavor.
He also published in weird tales? Lovecraft too! ๐คฏ now youโve piqued my interest. Iโll have to take a peak at his work ๐
Let me know which tales you read๐
I have read all of them. I read the Conan stuff as bedtime stories for my kids. (Red Nails is good, so is the People of the Black Circle and a Witch is Born -- but honestly, I like almost all of them).
There's an omnibus you can buy on Amazon that has reprints and a number of the Margaret Brundage paintings that were used as cover art for Weird Tales.
Love how weird and playful the artwork feels
