Routine day. 42 mile running week. Time to taper for the 5k next Sunday. Cubscout Family hike is afternoon. Great to see the kids in nature off the screens!
Cool. My daughter was just asking about Girl Scouts. I haven't looked into yet, though.
great life skills and we had a great group of parents and kids!
I've been sticking to three days of "power vinyasa" per week. My stamina is improving and it's starting to feel a wee bit good rather than fully sucking. Once I'm regularly making it through whole classes, my goal is to add upper/lower split resistance training days in, and then a cardio day, giving myself Sundays off.
My eating has been okay, definitely at or below maintenance most days, but I did have pizza two nights this week and a brownie.
Our new apartment gives me a 20 minute walk each way to the office, over a nice sized hill, and facing the sun, so that's been nice to have each day.
I really need to get more sun somehow though. My vitamin d levels are low according to my last blood test. I supplement with 2000 IUs already (from a multivitamin), and I'll be adding another 5000 IUs, but even if it improves the biomarker it's not equivalent to getting sun.
It only takes about 15 minutes of midday Sun exposure to synthesize all the vitamin D you need. I've been making a point of getting out for a short walk right around noon.
I should probably start with something like that. I used to work outside all day in my backyard then at our office's pool. I tend to go black or white with health. I need to embrace the grey.
Good think I was so active yesterday, because we had waffles this morning.
