In my ignorance, probably the thing I was most excited about with the activation of Taproot was a multisig wallet with an onchain footprint that is indistinguishable from single signature wallets. As far as I know, no one has really tried to launch this as a feature in a major wallet. (I'm still hoping the Frostr guys #926344 will call it a Bitcoin wallet).

Here is a little FROST test wallet. Probably not a great idea to use it with any significant amounts, but definitely worth testing if you want to see what it might look like.

An offline threshold wallet in one HTML file. It generates a FROST threshold key with ChillDKG, backs it up, and signs with it: arbitrary messages, and Bitcoin transactions (PSBTs) spending from the key's Taproot addresses. There is no server and no networking: every protocol message is carried between devices by hand, as a QR code, a text string or a file.

⚠️ Neither this wallet nor the chilldkg-rs library underneath has been audited. Use at your own risk.

It runs in a browser, but I think the idea is to download the software and then run it in an offline environment. I don't know if it allows you to import your own keys (which would be ideal).

I would love to see the Liana guys work on an implementation like this, but I suspect that they won't until there is more widespread hardware signer support for FROST.

Oleg posted a few more details about it on X.
