Matthew Lim uses kirigami, the Japanese art of cut paper, to create flat designs that fold into functional 3D objects without bolts or glue. From phone grips to a full sized plywood side table, these cut based mechanisms are prototyped with laser cutters and 3D printers, pointing toward applications in robotics, flat pack furniture, and space exploration.
