I'm curious what are the circumstances or what is the evidence under which you feel that betting with probability aligns more with running rbitcoin as your main node than with Core?
#1 reason to exodus Core: everyone else is doing it
If there was a reason to exodus Core, which implementation would you choose?
Knots is almost Core so lots of overlap-risk, it may not be an option at the time
btcd, libbitcoin, Floresta, utreexod, Gocoin, or bcoin?
Rust is the new hotness because it eliminates an entire class of runtime bugs that plague other languages. Floresta is written in Rust - but it seems too focused on utreexo development.
rbitcoin is too new for consideration today, but it will gather it's own Lindy and it think it has a strong shelling point for engineers (Rust + Agent-first).
It has solved a problem for me today (uses less RAM for the same index) so it earned a place in my datacenter which is something the others haven't achieved yet.
rbitcoin is NOT backing my funds yet, just for explorer/index/analysis only. rbitcoin has replaced a redundant Core + Electrum Server index and it actually uses less CPU/RAM under load which is nice benefit in a hardware crisis.
Don't trust, verify. Or at least bet with (not against) probability.
Bitcoin Core’s probability story is “lindy”: the longest-running, most-reviewed codebase with the most people/capital depending on it is least likely to be broken (probably).
rbitcoin’s probability story is “vibes plus compute”: forward-thinking, AI-native developers feeding tokens into the project until everyone's bot says "it’s not broken" (probably).
rbitcoin is speed running 18 years of bitcoin implementation development...
