You shouldn't have your oven trading bitcoin; nor should you hide all your extra miners at the office under some floorboard to arb free electricity (#1603884). Dumb devices are awesome (#1601880).

Pretty decent edition this week, filled with the perfect balance of self-promotion (#1598748), funny and silly things (#1601880), and serious/awesome/impressive events in Norway and Denmark.

Why y'alls waiting on going to the Nordics?? They're littered with cool Bitcoiners and Bitcoin events!

…and just as I was writing that, I learned that Rasmus Hansen — with whom I shared a nice panel session at BTCHEL 2026 — just translated Hans-Hermann Hoppe’s A Short History of Man into Danish and that he’s at Bogforum (Denmark’s annual literary festival) with the SHOP21 team, talking bitcoin and peddling books. They sell all manner of Bitcoin and Austrian economics books, quite a lot of them translated into Danish!

"The Nordic Bitcoiners are nothing if not prolific! What have you accomplished recently, anon?"

READING LIST:

Musings from Lugano: It’s not that good anymore…? “There is as much AI (if not more!) than Bitcoin related speeches, and Ferraris are displayed at the main entrance, instead of a giant middle finger to the system statue, as it should.” Bro should try Helsinki, really.
Bull Bitcoin on Fire: What is extremely good is Bull Bitcoin’s new newsletter/policy fight initiatives (competition?!), “Cost of Lies,” Bull Bitcoin’s new newsletter (competition?!); it’s beautiful, hard-hitting, and extremely important. Go read.
Iceland is Great for AI/Data Centers: …but not in reality, where connection, grid generation, permits, a backward economy, and most importantly, the “social license” (i.e., the population doesn’t want it) are annoying hurdles. Great reporting from The Times.
Winter is not near… it is here! See what my mountains did the other day. Crazy northern lights, too.
Disagree But Worth Watching: The Doha Debates pitted Saifedean Ammous against MMT economist Pavlina Tcherneva and Marxist and political science professor Jason Hickel for two and a half bloody hours. Saif acquitted himself incredibly honorably: I do not have this kind of divine patience with MMT/Marxian nonsense. (If you do, there’s a new cool Anti-MMT book out by some Mises folks, edited by Jonathan Newman.)

Can't say I haven't thought about this!

Don't want my office to get too hot though.
