Hi All!

I’ve built an alternative to Lolli and would love to test with some users.

My name is Juan and I’ve built Bumbei an Android and iOS bitcoin cashback app.

I’ve been in the affiliate industry for 15+ years and I want to put all my knowledge and contacts to work for my own project.

I was a regular user of Lolli, I accumulated around 400k sats but unfortunately after their acquisition I had such a hard time withdrawing my cashback that I decided to build my own version.

Bumbei lets you shop at your favorite sites and lets you withdraw via Lightning with no minimum and no fee, you can withdraw 1 sat if you want.

Here’s the link to the private beta:

Also here’s my X account if you want to connect:

Have you continued having difficulty with Lolli withdrawals? I haven't had any issues since one of the post-acquisition updates.

reply

I completely stopped using them! They acquired Lolli and then they acquired Slice and it seems like all their merchants that were on Lolli rolled up though Slice’s affiliate accounts and the cashback diluted to 1-2%

What I liked the most about Lolli was that they were really good at negotiating high cashback rates around 5% and sometimes more, but if you open Lolli right now the percentages are so low and the monetization links sometimes don’t even take you to the correct GEO.

If you click on Nike it redirects you to Nike Singapore.

Also I hate that they have fees and a minimum withdrawal fee for Lightning!

I never really used their cashback deals. Lolli has always mostly been a fountain and game rewards platform for me.

reply

Right with their treasure box and the games they have!

The one product I really loved also was the card-linked offers, I had my debit card linked and whenever I bought at Starbucks, CVS and other places I would stack on those!

reply

I didn't like that you had to activate the deal. That minor source of friction was really annoying to me, compared to Fold's cashback that just works automatically.

reply

Yes it really was the only annoying part specifically when realized you didn’t activate after purchasing.

Some card-linked offers do require an action, in affiliate marketing it’s called an ā€œaffirmative clickā€ or ā€œaffirmative actionā€, mostly coming from the brands to make sure the user is indeed looking for a reward and not rewarding users just for the sake of it.

But also, who knows if Lolli was doing it just to get 100% of the commission if the user didn’t activate.

I read a comment from a user that purchased twice at a store first purchase activated and it was a small purchase and the second activation was a larger purchase and they only credited for the small one šŸ˜…

Also posting this for everyone to see I paid my 3 sats to post the comment with my wallet in Bumbei 🄳
