Noones will have robust AML and KYC standards — we will be regulated in both the European Union and the United Arab Emirates, which implement some of the most progressive regulations of Bitcoin in the world. We will be using standard compliance and regulatory tools, but with additional filters to localize and protect users. As an example, KYC will be highly localized and limits will be more fair. We will also be building local AML programs based on global licensing strategies—and will have the standard AML checks, fraud protection, and sanction checks.

Nation-states in the Global North will take advantage of this eager compliance with KYC/AML laws to impoverish people in the Global South. And when that happens, all the currency that poor people put into Noones will be taken from them.

What digital currencies will users be able to trade? At launch, we will have Bitcoin (BTC), Tether (USDT), and USD Coin (USDC).

Offering shitcoins (USDT, USDC) to poor people is egregious.

Noones’ announcement comes at a time when Bitcoin is gaining traction worldwide as an alternative to traditional financial systems. Noones’ is not available for users in the United States or any other country on their blocked countries list due to regulatory restrictions.

It's basically a centralised KYC version of Robosats.

The company is registered in a tax haven too so good luck getting any real info on it.

If its anything like paxful then you should be able to trade without KYC up to amounts of 8000 USD, there were traders who wanted KYC and others who didn't and even if you had to buy from a KYC only trader, its negliable in any African nation to buy someones ID for $4 and KYC an account

As for the stablecoins, I don't use them, but alot of people who do buy them are looking to settle payments for goods and services, especially cross boarder, if I wanted to purchase something in Zimbabwe, its simply the cheaper option with lowest vol between settlement
