🟥
Yes, but only with strict safeguards.

Any trade should require a mandatory, public 30-day advance notice before execution.

If a member of Congress receives a classified briefing or insider knowledge, they shouldn't be able to turn around and make an instant trade before the public finds out. Pre announcing trades levels the playing field and eliminates realtime insider trading while still letting them manage their personal finances.

🟥 Yes, but ONLY in broad index funds like the S&P 500, zero individual stocks allowed.

🟥 Absolute no.

Public service should be about serving the public, not insider trading with privileged information. Case in point, the Trump family looks like insider trading on another level.

🟥 No way. Put all their investments in a broad blind trust until they leave office

🟥 No. Serving in Congress is a public trust, not a trading desk.

🟥 Yes they should be allowed to invest, but with real-time disclosure and a blackout on whatever their committee is touching. Banning it just pushes it into spouses and relatives.

After a +1.4% day I'd expect some giveback. NASDAQ closes 25,590.

🟥 Today is crazy red

Only if they're forced to publish every single trade in real-time, not weeks or months after the fact.

Congress should only be permitted to invest in etfs. Not single stocks. No options.
