I create a tribe for the site - you can find the link in the footer. If anyone would prefer a telegram group I can add one, but I'd prefer to use sphinx as it was some of the inspiration for SN. lmk.

I know Telegram will probably have more users initially, but I kind of like the notion of starting with a Sphinx Chat only... sort like building from the ground up... being "Lightning Native"... etc.
Just my two sats, though -- both are awesome ideas regardless 🙂

I agree. I like being Lightning native as well. I kind of waffled though and added telegram. Reason being the goal is to give Bitcoiners on stacker news aka stackerz (thanks @falsefaucet), a place to meetup and say especially dumb stuff or ask questions that are better suited to that format so we’ll let people silo where they want.
Eventually I want chat on the site too. Perhaps I can do some deeper integration with Sphinx or build another messages-over-lightning variation.
It’s still early as they say. We can change however we’d like so long as stackerz are vocal about what they want.

I added a telegram group too https://t.me/stackernews. Link also in footer. I suspect some of our users don't have nodes or might just spend more time in telegram.
I just wanted to create another space for Bitcoiners to casually meet each other. So use what you'd like! 🍻

Yeah that’s the bummer with the UX on lightning native stuff right now - you need a node which isn’t hard in an absolute sense but it’s hard relative to what we are used to. I prefer decentralization being a well supported option rather than a mandate.
