Nothing we can do about big things except not live next to live volcanoes or near tsunami prone beaches. Doomers always forget that being evil is not a qualification for being able to effectively use a new technology, and doom is not the only result of it.

The majority of the media voices are either cult leaders or deacons of cult leaders. Doesn't matter what direction you look. The americans, especially, have spent a lot of money on developing the technology to make people crazy but in just such a way as to make use of them against their own best interests.

Since maybe at least 5 years there has been no "prominent" voices of significant number. Yes, some people who aren't terrible, but the majority of influencers are just running a racket, making gunpowder of skinner pigeons poop.

Honestly, the less often I look at news the better my life gets. Personal conversations, and the struggles of one's labors are much more fulfilling than the endless buzz of doom and euphoria.
