Summers are inverse of U.K, so June/July colder here. Everyone is at the beach in Dec/Jan/Feb, which is why Punta Del Este is pricey then.
If coming to stay in Montevideo, ignore other barrios and try to stay in Pocitos area. You won’t regret it, you’ll probably be reminded of Europe
