Agreed. The speaker at my city's last BitDevs spoke about nostr and regarded it as simply a Twitter clone / open protocol social media. I didn't want to be rude and didn't push back right away, and she quickly moved onto the next topic. But I should have told her that nostr stands for "notes and other stuff transmitted by relays". Right now, it might mostly be notes that are being transmitted, but I believe it's the "other stuff" that will make this open protocol interesting, beautiful, influential, and powerful. So many things are being built on nostr, it's pretty amazing to see. The "other stuff" being built includes, but are not limited to, marketplaces, decentralized exchanges, go fund me replacement, signed bitcoin transaction broadcaster and much more. Oh, did I mention the GitHub replacement with a 10btc bounty from Dorsey?
