True, I recently joined Nostr and the misconception I had was this only. After a bit of time I understood that it is not associated with BTC blockchain but rather a protocol which allows users to tip/transfer sats over the lightning network.
In my view Nostr is way cluttered as of now and would take a bit time to resolve it. To find an optimal client, you have to try 3-4 clients, which makes most people lazy to join and thus they give up. This clutteredness is somewhat good and somewhat bad. Time would tell if some protocols like Nostr would work, fediverse players like Mastodon/Lemmy, or Stackernews type are going to be dominators.
More awareness needs to be spread regarding this, thank you...
Nostr shouldn't be included in "lightning network metrics" as it's not built on nor does it run on the Bitcoin Blockchain or any BTC Blockchain layer.. it has its own protocol.
