UHF, starring Weird Al. I saw it at a local theater chain in the middle of the week a few years ago. They even had a Weird Al impersonator give a little talk before starting the film. It was fun.

Me, I saw Dune when it came out. Great adaptation of the book, IMO.

It was either the new Avatar movie, or that movie “Babylon” about Hollywood back in the 1920’s.
Both are big production studios and I saw both in a multiplex theater. Not planning to see another movie for as long as I can help it.
- The Avatar movie was almost unbearable, full of propaganda but I made it until the end.
- Babylon was unbearable and I walked out less than half way through.

"No Time To Die" in film theater and then also paid for streaming site to see streaming premiere in Latvian (so that I could be angry about translations not being perfect :) ). But usually I don't pay for films to streaming services, I pay to them for live sports broadcasts, films are just nice bonus. But I'm still using The Pirate Bay.

Been nearly a decade since I saw a "new" movie in a theatre. We tend to just wait until it's available to rent or purchase from home. Way more enjoyable than theatre and cheaper. We did see "The Room" in a theatre about 5 years ago, but that's more about the experience. New releases are destined to be primarily home rentals like how they were released during COVID, with some boutique theatres surviving, but they will need to really rethink their prices and experience to survive in any meaningful fashion.

There is something to be said for the comfort of your own home when it comes to seeing film.
Boutique cinemas can provide a wonderful experience although it really depends on the film and the people who go. Do I really have to sit next to someone who takes their shoes off?
Home rental is an interesting route for film sales, although there weren’t that many actual blockbuster releases during COVID, it may not provide the financial return long term..
Do you any thoughts on SAT streaming for content? Or would it just be shoehorning BTC into a dying FIAT system?
