I've always been excited about LSATS but I think the standard for 402 should probably be unopinionated on bitcoin layer/tech and maybe even currency if possible.

Nobody owns the 402 HTTP code, others can create their own implementation of payment validation.

I know nobody owns it. I’m suggesting LSATs would have more uptake if it was an instance of something slightly more generic.

Yes literally shitcoins (including gov issued ones).
People love shitcoins so many websites will be built to support a generic 402 standard. Then bitcoin wins the currency wars and bitcoin powers the web.
It's going to be easier to convince people they should support 402 if we don't also have to convince them they should use bitcoin.
I understand. It shouldn't be super hard to make generic.
