Thanks for sharing your fav sports movies. Not much going on in the sports world these days with MLB on all star break, NBA and NHL free agent frenzy mostly done and NFL training camp yet to begin. Looks like Novak will win another Wimbledon title (incredible). I hear the Raptors are likely to trade my man Spicy P (Pascal Siakam), so please indulge me and:
Shill me the team Spicy P will get traded to and what you think the Raps get back.
Cheers, GR
I have no idea who or what you’re talking about lol thank you for doing these posts though, they’re fun.

I still think Kawhi’s departure left a big vacuum in the team. Siakam is decent and took over the team, he even performed pretty well during the regular season, but he’s not good enough to drive the bus. Especially in post season play, where you clearly see him struggle under pressure when the Raptors did make the playoffs. Also, it’s really hard to win in this league without a tier 1 star, so the Raptor will either have to trade for such star or draft and train one up.
Now that Nurse got fired, VanVleet is leaving, and trade rumors are surrounding Siakam, I think it’s a good time to rebuild the team and try something new.
In terms of a possible Siakam trades, I think Atlanta is in hot pursuit? And I think Indiana also wants him? Not much thought on possible trades. I guess we will know when we know…

Totally agree. Last season was filled with so many games where they had 5, 7, 10 point leads in the last 2-5 minutes and just completely wilted. They had no true superstar to take over the game and close it out like they did with Kawhi. I really like Pascal, but it is probably time to move on and at least re-tool.
I heard Atlanta, Indiana and Orlando were the top suitors so far. I suppose we will see what happens.

This question has exposed my ignorance of the current NBA.

Toronto Raptors roster construction is pretty far down the rabbit hole for non Toronto sports fans I suppose but I have been watching the Raps since they joined the league as an expansion team and used to be a flex pack (6 games a season) holder. I did say indulge me. Haha.
