Good to see you again @K00b. Fusion is a good answer probably that. Maybe a universal vaccine for all cancer etc. Maybe a super 3d printer that can print most anything including copies of itself. Quantum communication. But for the net benefit of the world from a utilitarian standpoint, fusion.

Growing tissues and organs from cells; Whatever that's called. That way when an organ transplant is needed, it can be grown from the patient's body. Also, so I can get some chicken tenders without having to kill a chicken. There was even a time when I struggled to get rid of pests because I didn't want to kill them, but I got over that quickly.
I know there is some highly expensive private clinics that offer something like this but the AI component, scalability and affordability still has a ways to go. I expect we will get there sometime in the not so distant future but I like the idea of a yearly check up just being a scan, AI analyzes the results and you get a full breakdown and actionable suggestions to review with doctor or flags for further analysis.
One future technology that many people are eagerly waiting for is fully immersive virtual reality (VR). Imagine a device that can provide seamless, highly realistic, and interactive experiences, making virtual worlds feel almost indistinguishable from the real world. Such technology could have significant implications for gaming, education, training, and communication.
If I could have a wish to be granted, I want a Time Machine to visit back the past, my childhood and see myself. Wondering if my child me can recognize my me now.
Nanotechnology that can manipulate atoms at real time speeds (would enable Star Trek replicators, essentially endless life, abundance of any food or item)

The thing is, even with a coal fired powerplant electricity is dirt cheap. I mean its redicolous the amount of energy it can provide at little cost. Its only expensive because of the taxes that are put on top imo. And if not, its the costs to maintain the grid itself that is most of the price. So even if we get Nuclear Fusion electricity wont be much cheaper unless the grid becomes more decentralized? Ie. power generation on the spot, at home, on demand, and that taxes and so on go to 0 or near 0.
on topic: First thing that comes to mind is some sort of plasma propulsion engine because plasma is everywhere in space
