Really good video. It covers a lot of what's lost in a POS system in a fun and easy to understand way.

This 👆. It's dense without being overwhelming, really well done. Instantly shared it to my favorite fence sitters haha

Great video, I really enjoyed this and still found myself learning new things.
Nice vid!
Honestly, most of the time it's not worth going down the route of arguing about complexity. This is not what it's mainly about.
From the perspective of Satoshi, it's very straightforward:
The reason why he chose PoW was that he COULD NOT choose PoS, since it inherently discriminates between network participants based on wealth. PoW is the only alternative satoshi could come up with that solves this. Simple as that.
Pos is a plutocracy where pow looks more like our democracy.
Tree powers, devs, users and miners. All of them unique and specialized. If you wanna make a change in the consensus you need at least 2/3.
My two cents.

I never really thought of devs as being a third branch, but it's actually spot on.

Why does everyone who reviews hash power fuck up the ACTUAL amount of hash power. This video has a completely inaccurate amount of hash power that BTC is actually using. Even if we take that Braiins info desk website is to be believed, the amount of hash described in this video is 100x LESS than what info we can find anywhere on the internet.
