So I just watched the episode on Bitcoin from Tuttle Twins and I liked it so much that I want to promote it a bit. I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did, since I had watched the first episode of TT and thought it was just OK.

But the Bitcoin episode, which is part of Season 2, spoke to me a lot more. First, it's about a subject I care about (Bitcoin), but second, it uses gaming as a backdrop which is my main hobby. There are a ton of gaming and bitcoin/crypto easter eggs thrown in that will be entertaining to anyone familiar with those cultures.

One thing I appreciated is that they definitely kept "bitcoin" and "crypto" separate. They never use the generic term "crypto" to refer to hard money, but only Bitcoin.

The episode covers both the reason for bitcoin (why we need hard money and the pitfalls of easy money) and the technology of bitcoin (how POW and the decentralized network keeps the money hard). The ideas are woven into the plot very naturally, and the plot itself is fun and endearing. Because the ideas are related to the plot, even kids will find it very easy to follow.

If I have one criticism, it's that there are a few instances of "over-explaining", like they didn't trust the audience to understand why something on screen was being shown. But it's not really a big deal and doesn't disrupt the flow too much.

Overall, I would definitely recommend anyone interested in bitcoin to check it out, especially as a way to teach kids about bitcoin.
