It certainly is another angle that some might not have considered yet: that Bitcoin can help a lot of lesser privileged people around the world to fulfil basic needs and is not just the next cool tech thing for rich people to play with

I suspect it's not very obvious to cantillionaires how conflicted their interests are wrt Bitcoin. People seem to assume they get it and oppose Bitcoin because they understand that they'll lose power in a Bitcoin world. I don't think they do get it and opposed for other FUD reasons.

I see your point and hope it is for this reason.

Because then there is hope that with enough time and touch points, they'll eventually get it and maybe even support it.

And I believe it is even true for many cantillionaires.

But there are certainly those that do get it (I at least believe so) and oppose it because it threatens their position?

Yes for sure. And there are probably some too that don't consciously admit their opposition is due to a power loss.
