How many address downstream of the seed are you going to check for transactions before moving on to the next seed.

I think your math is way off.
A 24 word phrase, for one, is about 256 bits - so it’s actually 2^256 (not 24!) to find all possibilities. The number is about as large as the estimated number of atoms in the universe, much much larger than you suggest, around 10^77 IIRK. And no computer could possibly brute force this.
If a 24 word phrase took ~40 days to crack, as you suggested, then we’d all be screwed and I wouldn’t think bitcoin had any future at all as that’s not secure.
