SN it's a great platform and I'm so glad to be part of it, at the same time, I do not want it to go away, nor I want it to become the next techGiant. becoming so, it will become exposed to possible legal processes and maybe shut down?

I know, lot needs to happen to make this nightmare possible. Just curious if you guys are planning it in future development?

I've been reading about possible nostr integration, it will be great and it will cause SN to have less responsibilities on data. but it will be enough?

What if bitcoin become illegal? ATM SN is a custodial service, would be a consideration to enable users to connect their own wallet in the future?

Nostr could be a fallback for the data and the custody of the funds could fall back into a federated mint that is blinded, there's still a lot of benefits to centralisation of the service, its fast and easy to onboard.

SN also has a tor version for those who might be banned from accessing it already

I for one am going to stop using this app very soon if there is no way for me to not have my browser render the garbage being posted by rabid antichristians on this forum.

The fact that they claim to not want to do that to us should tell you something. That they enjoy this forced contact.

If I can't assert my freedom of association I am out.

BTW: if you'll stay around, you're free to ignore whatever contents does not suits your value. People is different and has different, sometime contrasting, ideas. I do not think that bringing up a personal religious war here make much sense.

IMO, there's no problem keeping things the way as they are. As someelse commented, SN is fast and easy.

About the SATs here, as soon as they reach an amount, withdraw it.

Not everything needs to be on NOSTR.l, descentralized and so on...

This is just my humble opinion.

Just a few ideas:

get different plebs running their own NOSTR SN relays for different sub's
hosted SN channels on various LN wallets. Or NWC directly from your SN LN wallet for instant sent zaps

Not sure how practical these are. I like how it is at the moment BTW

Exactly that... I like it too, I mean the UX is so easy, the site load with any type of slow connection really easily. I'd not change the experience and design, the user will not feel the difference if not by addig few steps on the onboarding process:

connect lightning wallet (instead having a LNaddress provided by SN) to start posting collecting rewards
connect a nost account (that is already imolemented)

I see two possibilities:

SN dies on its own eventually because lightning wallets never go mainstream
SN grows, investors are happy. It hires corporate warriors that start censoring content, becomes like Reddit (perhaps slightly more tolerant due to lack of advertiser's pressure, or maybe it will decide to improve it's investor relations by adding advertising, and thus becomes fully globohomo agenda compliant)

Is there another possibility?

I don't think this idea ruins SN, think about all the licenses and admin bullsh*t it will be required in case. and if at some stage bitcoin is regulated somehow, I truly believe SN could be regulated as any other big media platform.

From a data-privacy perspective, well.. we know what nostr is capable of.

Maybe I'm wrong?
