There's a weird feeling of being dumped somehow :) It happened a few times with Boltz, now one with Robosats... I usually open channel to these nodes myself, and I can surely open new ones again, but I get that feeling like "did I do something wrong?" :)
Does anyone else feel this weird vibe when working with channels? I usually have 4-5 open at any given time, mostly for personal use as I do no routing for fees or anything like that, so I guess it's a bit personal the way I use it.
Both Boltz and Robosats use hold invoices, which may cause channels to close more often (if the sender not going back online in time to settle).

This is why I stopped running a pi node and switched to mobile nodes.
Blixt is the coolest (non commercial, FOSS, full LND node on your phone). Phoenix has the best experience (runs Eclair, still self sovereign but gives you splicing, trampoline routes and best of all a chunky channel to the incredibly well connected ACINQ node). Breez also very slick, but they're behind on LNURL support and the podcasting features seem like feature creep.
For anyone who just wants a non custodial lightning spending wallet, this is what I would recommend

Breez has a full lnurl support

Sorry, my mistake -- think I've missed the edit window so apologies for misrepresenting!
Realise I've come down a bit hard on Breez there. Also a great mobile wallet -- plus credit where its due for inventing the LSP concept.

No apologies needed, I'll be the first to admit Breez isn't perfect, but when it comes to lnurl, we've always done our best lol.

and you can run quite sophisticated lncli commands, what can be sometimes helpful (not available on Blixt)

I will be eating humble pie and checking out Breez again.

Each one hurts, even if they try to let me down easy... "It's not your node, it's mine."

It does feel like a rejection. It’d be nice if they could send a note saying why.
“It’s not your node, it’s mine. It’s just not the right time for me. You’re great. You’ll find the right node someday.”

I completely agree haha, worst feeling :(( I often check them on amboss and most of the time the node has closed all of their channels. As I opened many of my channels on LN+ with farily small nodes I guess people get burnt out of handling their nodes and all problems and decide to shutdown their nodes. I think I will try to open channels to older peers in the future :P

It happened to me during the fee spike. LN bug, not sure if its fixed.
You can see who closed the channel (local or remote).
