I also have a four years son with autism.
There is a suspicious on me too, but for me doesn't matter anymore.
Exactly, we don't matter anymore, I mean, we are doing ok, is the fear of the uncertainty what hits harder.
Mine is 6 years old, accepting him as he is without expectations is key to a happy life.
At least that is what is working for me.
