I've also found that I'm not primarily adding value through original posts. I try to make them sparingly and always with a mind to what the community has expressed interest in.

Where I seem to provide the most value is in commenting on others' posts. This is in-line with the reason I started spending time here. I want to help alternative platforms challenge Big Tech. For that to happen, sites like SN need active users to drive network effects. I'm glad I can make SN better for those posting good original content.

I used to tell people that I am not a creative person because I cannot draw beautiful art or write dope lyrics. "I'm good at dotting the i and crossing the t, analytical stuff suits me better", is what I would say.

I used to flirt with the idea of a podcast but I struggled with creating content that I like to read/watch. I discovered that I'm not passionate enough to podcast about it.

After months of nudging by Lotus, one of my earliest Bitcoiner friends as a Bitcoiner in Miami, I was confident in my ability to be creative in things that I am passionate about. (Fitness & Bitcoin)

Around that time, Captain Brunch started his v4v podcast, Saturday Night LIT. I was one of the first few episodes and at the end of my time; the host asked me where people could find me and I did have a good answer but it lit a fire in me.

This v4v idea lead me to start thinking of ways I could provide value and that led to me starting my personal training business. I''ve always encouraged my family and friends to workout. I value my bitcoin but if someone provides value to me then I like to pay in bitcoin. I also want to earn it as well.

That's why I did NASM Certified Personal Trainer program so I could learn how to be a more effective trainer. Now that I am training people and making educational fitness content for Bitcoiners, I feel like I am full of creativity!

I'm learning a whole new suite of skills so I can make content that people are entertained by long enough to get some value from it. That combined with the personal satisfaction I get from now getting paid bitcoin to do something that I really love has me feeling happier than I have in a minute.

When I go to bitcoin meetups and people comment on something I've posted on NOSTR or ask me to show them a stretch or form tips, I know they are getting some value from it.

So all that to say, I really identify with this post because I feel like I have found my way to provide Value to this community. Not just SN, or the Miami bitcoin scene, but the greater bitcoin community.

This is a good post, but how one earth did you get 100k+ sats for it? You just got more sats in 3 hours than I've seen developers get from AMAs here! 😵‍💫

Proof of Work (PoW) is the nature of the Bitcoin ecosystem. Fiat money generates a feeling of selfishness in people because the fiat system is selfish in its conception.

Bitcoin, on the other hand, motivates people to share what they can of what they have and the most interesting thing is that the more you share, the more it comes back to you, even if this was not your goal. It's great how when you receive SATs for your work you feel very motivated and in many cases they are not large amounts, but it motivates you because you feel that you have helped someone and that someone has shown you that they appreciate it and that is their way of doing it.

But really this Stacker News project is impressive in that sense and I never tire of saying it. A great idea, thanks to its creators. Thanks to you too for the work you do.
