"We're trying to turn Bitcoin into a real global payment network"
  • Bitcoin already has a payment network, it's called lightning
  • It wasn't built by anyone at Lightspark
  • They're merely basking in the glory of true builders of the space without putting much work and instead offering an overpriced & proprietary API
reply
Well they hired Tadge Dryja, who is co author of the original lightning paper.

Who will have more success in the next ten years
Synonym or Lightspark?
reply
Given that when you google Lightspark most results are about a Flash player (!), I would say that they face an uphill battle. :)

Did he admit they aren't about sending bitcoin on lightning but rather dollars on lightning?
reply
I don't like the way this was framed. As if the global payment network doesn't yet exist. It does! It needs to be larger, more distributed, and more resilient but it exists already.
reply
Is this just another Strike play then? Valid use case for lightning nevertheless.
