I might be using the Cowboys too early, but I don't want to waste the 49ers yet and none of the other favorites do it for me.
Week 2: Cowboys
Nah. Dak is going to get hurt at some point. He misses at least a few games every year.
reply
That was part of my thinking and their defense should be able to devour the Jets offense. They have a pretty soft looking schedule, though.

Who knows what happens but I am circling week 5, when Cowboys come to SF as one of the potential games of the year. If both teams stay healthy and play well (it's NFL, big if) they will both probably be 4-0.
49ers are a better team than the Cowboys but their OLine is their biggest weakness and Cowboys DLine is their biggest strength so it could be a bad match up for them.
reply
The 49ers real biggest weakness is QB injuries, which is a bad combo with that bad OLine.
reply
That is a fact. Although maybe they are due for some luck on that front this year. Last year was such a disaster. Lance out for year, Jimmy G out for the year. Purdy and Johnson both hurt in NFC Championship game. I wouldn't say the OLine is bad, they do have Trent Williams but the right side is pretty suspect for sure. I am hoping they are going to use some of that cap space they freed up with the Bosa signing and the Williams and kittle restructures to beef up the line at the deadline but it's hard to find really good lineman and teams that have them don't want to part with them.

Fair warning, that's the same pick as GrayRuby and he almost got 7 people eliminated last week with the Commanders. Just saying. Locked and loaded.
reply
In fairness to me, I did warn him about the great shame it would bring to his family if he lost his money on the Commanders.
reply
They are already ashamed. Why do you think he spends so much time on SN talking to you guys?
