There will be a flippening: Tether flipping Ethereum. And the #3 spot in the coincap ratings is not a place you want to ever be historically. This will happen in the next 24 months.

"Tether flipping Ethereum" - you sure?

That's my expectation too. Stablecoin demand is real and is arguably the main usecase of altcoins at this point, but stablecoins are operable on platforms outside the Ethereum ecosystem (Tron, Solana, etc.)
24 months sounds about right to me, especially if Ethereum gets Gensler'd.

It's already flipped everything else, grown 5x since 2020 and is averaging $25B in daily volume, which is about as much daily volume as every cryptocurrency in the world combined, including bitcoin. It has a higher market cap today than it did at the height of the bull market and is emerging as a significant buyer of short-term US debt (T-bills). I'm quite sure the flippening is coming.

I kinda think it's possible for a short while.
Ethereum is not good money. Ethereum is a shitcoin casino. But it's possible that markets will temporarily value the latter more than the former, because markets are dumb and misprice things. Especially if you combine bull-market euphoria with Ethereum's illiquid supply (pre-mine + staking).
So while I don't expect it, I also don't rule out a temporary flip. It doesn't matter in the long run because Ethereum has several complementary centralizing pressures that, best I can tell, are rather insurmountable and will result in the downfall of the protocol over the long run.
Besides, market cap is a highly flawed metric and easily gamed. I don't particularly care if Bitcoin gets flipped. It's still the soundest money we have.

Bruh. I don't give people a lot of credit but I don't think we're all that daft.
Ethereum is pretty terrible and isn't anything like Bitcoin anymore.

I would like to read good arguments why it could or not. Just posting as maxi against other alts looks not different to the Ethereum degens of X.

Why wouldnt it? It fits into the current world order better than any other crypto, it also has friends in high places. Note that paypal has launched their stablecoin as an ERC20. Also Ethereum is only 6 years old. So you can go back and look where Bitcoin was when it was 6 years old.
tl;dr the next 6 years are going to be extremely bullish for Ethereum and now is probably the best time to position urself in it.

Not a good idea to position in that. It will unravel. Many loose threads are waiting to get pulled there.
