Obviously it's tough to predict with certainty which big dam will break.

In 2008 there wasn't any zeitgeist warning or narrative the mortgage racket was about to explode. Yes, I've seen the Big Short but extremely few saw it coming.

So what's on the Bingo card now?

The obvious intangibles are the Russia -Ukraine proxy war, sky high global inflationary effects, supply chain disruptions and a looming US election.

What are some wilder potential black swan events?

Here's a list of the top:

-another mass viral outbreak
-food shortages due to prices/hyper inflation
-BRICS escalates armed conflict
-bitcoin gets the blockchain reorganized by a quasi governmental tech team
-a major global power loses control of inflation and bank run ensues, bitcoin adoption increases and there's a domino effect into other countries. Mass liquidation of fiat assets.

Well a lot could happen but I'm going to be devils advocate here and suggest that only GOOD black swan events could happen! Like they're positive and make change for the better! It's nice to think and view things like this and who knows... maybe they'll even transpire!

Yeah. being postive is better. and it's 50/50 as to what may happen... so keep the glass half full might as well

Nothing will happen to bitcoin, although the USD quote price might temporarily suffer. Perhaps:

  • Binance loses ability to prop-up BNB and does a LUNA
  • SEC goes after LSTs and LSPs causing ETh DeFi decollateralization
  • ETF applications are rejected until crypto bill hits Senate floor
  • A sudden geo-political escalation or event

How the ETF approvals shake out will determine a lot

I agree. The fed is stalling for so long and God only knows what they're afraid of. Suckers

reply

Central bankers and the sec should be under way more scrutiny imo. Low key
