Not really.
It's typical chicken-egg problem. The problem of adoption can be simplified in 2 issues:
  1. Not enough merchants accepting BTC
  2. Not enough people willing to (or able to) spend BTC
We cannot do much on 1/. But Bitcoin-cards can help on 2/.
I agree that cryptocards cannot (or shouldn't) be a long term solution. But I prefer to live in a world with plenty of options to spend bitcoins than in a world with very limited Bitcoin-only solutions. Bitcoin-cards are a way to bootstrap Bitcoin use for common users.
