This is peak fiat medicine. You simply can't trust medical research anymore. Always verify medical information.
Fiat medicine is a scam.

The pandemic opened my eyes to the state of the medical profession. It's shambolic. Most doctors mean well, but they're more accustomed to memorizing what they've been told, less accustomed to questioning authority. Source: conversations I had with doctor friends during pandemic. Most just parroted the institutional view and were woefully unaware of alternative viewpoints being put forward by the likes of Jay Battacharya, Scott Atlas, and Vinay Prasad-- alternative viewpoints that ultimately have proven correct.
Until doctors as a group start to read primary research studies with a critical eye, and until they start to question authorities, the corporate capture of medicine wont change.

I don't think doctors will ever do that. The way most colleagues progress their career is writing research papers, the patient is secondary. There is no incentive to go against the grain and talk about "fad" diets, like keto.
