what's your stack?

Does anyone here do sector rotation strategies for stocks? If so what is your opinion on current phase/transition? Seems to me we're about to move from the "late/moderation" phase and about to go into straight recession.

I am basing this on the fact that index which tracks the proportion of TSX energy stocks above their 200 day average, it's hit a peak in 90%+ range and and looks like it's about to dip. Seems like a good time to grab things in the next phase (utilities, healthcare, consumer staples)?

Thoughts? Too early? Just right?

lol, I walked so much the last days that running actually hurts less than just walking. Different muscles are used I guess.

Don't get me wrong, walking does not hurt much. But running does hurt less, haha

reply

Running and walking do use slightly different muscle configurations but suspect this is more ‘above the neck’ than below lol.
Trying hopping on one foot.. hah

What personality type is the typical stacker?

Kind of expecting SN to be skewed towards INT*.

Yes yes I know the tests are a bit silly.

reply

Myers-Briggs was invented by the daughter of a Manhattan project spook, so I gather it's adapted from military aptitude/personality stuff. I remember on Lex Fridman, one of his CIA guests mentions they do use it for understanding and manipulating people, so it can't all be hokum. Similar to the ancient Enneagram tbh.

ᕦ(ò_óˇ) Day 9 of exercising everyday before the saloon opens

Woke up because of a nightmare at 7AM. Was hard to get up at 8AM today. In fact, I got up at 9AM and realized it's too late to do the 1h30m walk up the hill where the local gun club is. They opened at 10AM. I could come later since they're open until 12PM but I didn't want to show up later. I was quite excited yesterday. And now I didn't want to show up at 10AM just to sleep longer? Nothing good ever came from ideas like that.

So I took the train at 9:30AM to the hill and then walked up the hill.

I was then allowed to shoot some rounds with the air rifle, air pistol and .22 LR rounds:

air rifle on 10m:

https://imgprxy.stacker.news/jJo-CqorVRdu3uH6qeL9_xzr0R9_ZTOIB3egMsPuCxY/rs:fit:600:500:0/g:no/aHR0cHM6Ly9pLnBvc3RpbWcuY2MvSnpQTlg3WU0vc2lnbmFsLTIwMjMtMDktMjQtMTYxMzMyLTAwNC5qcGc

air pistol on 10m:
https://imgprxy.stacker.news/ZgD9OjxuQLpiWMQX5V50JgCqfU79Nhw7cZfUxyZVNSE/rs:fit:600:500:0/g:no/aHR0cHM6Ly9pLnBvc3RpbWcuY2MvbTIzTmJ5UWMvc2lnbmFsLTIwMjMtMDktMjQtMTYxMzMyLTAwMy5qcGc

the range for shooting .22 LR rounds:
https://imgprxy.stacker.news/YOP0Fv-u0Wl2zUL_MNNvJf7CNGhbfvWy2M3osGJxKeA/rs:fit:600:500:0/g:no/aHR0cHM6Ly9pLnBvc3RpbWcuY2MvVkxQV1FWYlEvc2lnbmFsLTIwMjMtMDktMjQtMTYxMzMyLTAwNi5qcGc

.22 LR rounds on 25m (9/15 on target):
https://imgprxy.stacker.news/UAkjxTwT1LSBgcDIdMwF5j1WBF7eXal8rickpENSU7k/rs:fit:600:500:0/g:no/aHR0cHM6Ly9pLnBvc3RpbWcuY2MvV3B5YmhCd0Mvc2lnbmFsLTIwMjMtMDktMjQtMTYxMzMyLTAwMi5qcGc

I also learned that at the beginning, it's more important to "group your rounds" than to hit the center: if you consistently hit the same spot, it's easy to hit any spot since you can adjust your sights accordingly - at least with the air rifle, not sure about other guns.

Also, I learned that in Germany, anyone over 18 is allowed to buy an air rifle. I thought our gun laws would be stricter.

The recoil from the .22 was also interesting. I never felt recoil before. Now I am looking forward to try out 9mm or 5.56x45mm. Maybe next time if I am allowed. When I showed up, I wasn't sure if I could fire any live ammunition.

Paid 5€ for the expenses and walked at 12PM 7km back home. Got home quite late again, around 3PM. But I also stopped at a Subway to have some breakfast.

I think I'll go to the calisthenics park tomorrow. My feet need some rest, haha

reply

Well done. That’s a good day! The principles of firing air rifle etc extend to larger calibres.. it just gives a bit more of a kick.

Aiming, as for fitness and any habit, rewards through consistency and adjustment where necessary.

It has been an eventful morning. I spoke to the guy who owns the deli. Turns out that he was away for the week when I paid my visit. That's why I had to pay on chain. We had a great conversation. He is deeply into bitcoin, to the extent that he wants to visit El Salvador. He accepts lightning, has had meet ups in the deli, and is no newbie. I encouraged him to join SN. There is a whole local bitcoin community near me that I didn't know existed. He said that's because everyone keeps to themselves. There's a lesson to be learned there.

reply

OMG. That is awesome. Kick over the Bitcoin rock and look what comes out. Such amazing news. Get him on SN as a referral!

reply

He says he will join.

Bullish!

It feels like important steps, I'm getting her more into exercising, and its only a matter of time before I find a side job that can help supplement my corn addiction. And we just finished a deep clean, feels great.

Why am I seeing more and more calls for 12k now..sillyness

Beer in a wine glass? Pizza with a fork and knife? Beautiful setting

the AI still didn't learn how to eat pizza and drink beer...

reply

Just a heads up, guys. I just got some good news. I heard back from the owner of the deli I went to and he's interested in increasing his bitcoin sales. @DarthCoin, I really think lightning would be a good first step. Seeing his business, it's very busy during rush hour, so I have a feeling he would prefer a static address as opposed to a more sophisticated invoice type set up. Any recommendations?
P.S.
Sorry to interrupt happy hour with business!

reply

Emergency broadcast! That interruption is very welcome.

reply
reply

Thanks. I was about to publish an article about my visit and try to give his business some publicity (local bitcoiners and maybe out of towners visiting Pub Key, although it's pretty far away). It's a very good business located close to a major commuter highway for people working in NYC.

Saloon hours are tough. I'm waking up when everyone else is starting happy hour.

reply

LOL in just 1h we already have almost 100 comments here. Is pure madness

It was a busy family day for me but I did squeeze out some time to read some articles on the Simple Bitcoin app and question myself about how I can break free of the shackles of the fiat mindset.

Many people see me as the evil Darth Vader yelling at shitcoiners, but in fact I am just trying to lift them up, to wake them up, doing good with them.
Will take time until they will understand my "method"... they hate me today but will love me tomorrow. Soon they will understand my "anger".
