Do you talk with your cats (if you have one)? I mean talking like with your friend, your kid, somebody you trust. Simple things, so they can understand what are you saying.

I notice that if I do not do that with my cats, they came to me and trying to say that "we should talk"... It's a wonderful feeling when they do that and interrupt your busy day. It makes you think that you are somebody important in their life.

Talk to your cat. Every day.

in fact meow is not talking for them. Is more like expressing their feelings in that moment. Is like "auch" or "wow", "uuufff", something like that.

When a cat will "talk" with you will make different noise, like "fffrrr" , "mmrrr"or "trrroorrr" with different intonations. If you reply to those sounds with short words, they will reply again with other "words". Pay attention to those sounds, they try to communicate with you. Especially in the morning.

ᕦ(ò_óˇ) Day 10 of exercising everyday before the saloon opens

Woke up at 9:30AM. Slept for 6h 30min since I wanted to finally finish my latest blog post last night. It should have been out 2 weeks ago, lol

Went to the calisthenics park and did mostly my usual routine: 10 push-ups, 10 squats, 10 inverted rows, 10 knee raises. I replaced lunges with step-ups since it's more fun and I want to shake things up to keep it interesting. I actually wanted to do box jumps but quickly realized I am too afraid. I'll do them when I feel more confident. So doing box jumps can be a mini goal for me :)

Did this routine only 2x today (instead of 3x) since I wanted to be done faster; felt that it was harder than usually to keep my streak up; and I didn't sleep enough. Also, I realized my core was still a little sore when I did the knee raises. So I wanted to "roll with the punches" as I learned from YNAB. To finish, I did 3x supermans at the end with 45s holding and 15s breaks.

Excellent. As for box jumps…

You can try frog squats to build up; squat down touch the ground with the palms of your hands if possible, jump forward a small step, land, squat and immediately jump forward again. Walk back. Two hops and walk back, reset.

More advanced you step up to a low box and jump down to a two footed landing. Once you have practised that you jump down with a two footed landing and then immediately jump forward and two footed landing. Jump down, jump forward, reset.

The trick is as soon as you land you jump or squat forward again. You want to use the down spring compression to aid the jump forward/up. These are plyometric drills and help develop power and body awareness which are necessary prerequisites for a safe box jump.

If you ever get the chance watch a film called Zero Hour. It’s the film Airplane was a remake of. It had a lot of the same dialogue but without the punchlines. Its funny in it’s own way for that reason.
