Patrick McKenzie wrote a kickass book review (which I have read) of a book about the broader crypto world called Number Go Up (which I have not). Most SN readers will care minimally about the broader crypto takes, but McKenzie does some really nice summary of the book's findings about Tether, and gives some of his own meta-commentary about Tether.

Everyone knows about the Tether controversy -- or controversies, jesus, how many even are there -- but they're scattered all over hell and back. This review foregrounds many of them, and the book that it's reviewing seems to compile them in more detail. I'll read that book eventually, but the review is useful on its own if you're interested in this topic.
