New court documents reveal that the US government frames the use of blockchain analysis countermeasures as “criminal”.
In the article:
  • the US government has argued that the disclosure of proprietary Chainalysis heuristics information in the case US vs. Sterlingov would “jeopardize numerous law enforcement investigations and impact the effectiveness of law enforcement tracing tools” by enabling the development of “criminal countermeasures to blockchain analysis.”
My opinion: The best part, Bitcoin doesn't care and most people in the world won't care, it will growth exponentially and there is nothing they can do to stop it, they will try and only the most gullible and non technically savvy will comply with unfair laws imposed by tyrannical governments, most of those that call themselves "first world countries", the world is getting to realize they are nothing but a bullies and a laughing stock ran by incompetent officials, internet and social media is being key to take off their masks, that is why they are so adamant to censor it. And here we are, NOSTR, Stacker News, SimpleX and BItcoin
They may criminalized and that, by experience will just create more adoption and the black market, which is, huge, will just growth more and more across the world, regulation and over protective measures are one thing, but criminalizing the privacy of an asset ownership won't stand in any superior court of law in USA, I would assume that it will be destroyed in any Federal court once appealed and if it gets to the Supreme Court, which will be quite odd to me, the outcome should be obvious in favor of privacy.
Time will say...

Anything the government can't fathom or gain from is label criminal. As far as Bitcoin is concerned, I continue stacking so call me a criminal

I know that this may be an argument fallacy, but you literally cannot compare the amount of financial crime committed with the US dollar to Bitcoin. The fact that they openly demonize Bitcoin as a currency for criminals is fucking ludicrous

Governments are false gods. They believe they should know everything about everyone. Their goal is for people to view them as indispensable and working for the good of their citizen. Instead they seek to maintain and maximize power and enrich their true masters.
