Congrats Shotgun @siggy47 on a 200 day 🤠 streak. What’s your secret?
reply
No secret. I just zap posts I like every day.
reply
But everyday since April 1st!
I bet you’ve come close to forgetting at least once…
reply
It helps being an old bored retired bastard.
reply
You’re right. Siggy47 is definitely more catchy
reply
Who the hell is zapping me way too many sats? It could be @nemo, but it didn't have a nemo feel.

It looks so cool. I can change this but I won't.

I wish I could be here on SN to be part of this epic thread. Also, If I could stack the same number of sats on my comments.

Hey hey hey gang. The middle of the week is here, hump day. So it's time to step it up and keep on keeping on, it has been quite busy for me, but got to bring my A game and try to do my absolute best, why?? Because what would be the point of not giving it your best? I prefer to say that I did my best instead of having regrets and think, I could have done better. So let's do this!!! I wish you lots of success in your endeavors and to have a phenomenal day. Remember that you're amazing and you deserve incredible things because you're worthy my friend!! Be well and stay frosty!!

SN feature request - pay a hefty fine to edit after 10mins. One that gets more expensive as time passes.
The amount of time I’ve messed-up and only notice later..
reply
I like this idea. What seems like a reasonable rate to raise the cost?
Maybe, 10 sats within an hour, 100 within a day, and 1000 after that?
reply
I’d even go as far as saying 1k in first hour, 10k after then, if we want to disincentivise modifying content.
We wouldn’t want to see comments receive subcomments only then for the original post to shift position. Making it uncomfortably expensive could prevent that.
Funds get added to the daily pool. Could show up as ‘edited’ if any concerns about transparency.
reply
I like it. Consider your feature request seconded.

Can you share your thoughts here? Editing comments after the countdown was requested more and more recently.
It's easier to work on it if all thoughts about possible solutions are included in the ticket itself :)
If you don't have Github, it's fine. I can just add a link to your comment to this comment
reply
Will do! Thanks for the link
reply
Oh, I see you're the same person as the first link in that comment haha
But doesn't matter, that just means you're committed about this feature haha
reply
Clearly too impatient before posting. Probably need to learn some proof-reading skills…

Finishing up a super long and fun piece, and now on to the editing part. 🫡

That moment when you want to create a transaction with multiple outputs for the first time and if you select the same destination wallet in Sparrow, it picks the same address for all outputs and then you start looking up if bitcoin signatures are not deterministic just to be sure that spending one utxo does not reveal the signature / unlocking script for all the other utxos, lol.
That would have been such a rookie mistake in bitcoin but don't trust, verify, right?
And surely if this ever was a bug, this was fixed a long time.
I guess this is also the reason why spending utxos on one fork means that anyone can spend the same coins on another fork.
I really need to dig deeper in this technical bitcoin stuff. More eyes are always better even though I don't expect to find anything!

After returning from a 2-week vacation, I am up early and have created a graph network of topics I'm interested in and things that need to get done to achieve them. Hopefully I am able to maintain a flow and discipline, everything feels possible now but I know usually life/grind will encroach. Wish there was a way to bottle this feeling of calm focus, but I don't want to take adderal lmao

Why does it seem like the trucks are covering the highway with snow. Shouldn't the trucks scoop up and remove the excess snow or am I missing something?
reply
They get paid to plow, whether the roads are covered or not. Union jobs, baby! At least that's how it works in Alaska.
Snow plows don't scoop. That snow is being pushed from somewhere way down the road.

Lol. These snails know how to play pool.

They are going to have to clean that baize afterwards… remember a similar issue in a Boston pool bar due to sweaty men in denim shorts… not me I hasten to add

Lmao. I can't unseen that picture in my head.

Yeah. That's where I got the idea from. The poker dogs one looks better in my opinion.

I just took a close look. Damn good job. How do you create something like that?

I've been dabbling in the infamous world of AI.

Very fun. It does get a bit expensive when having to top up the credits. But, I don't mind. I get to share some snail art with the community.
