There's a method of using Lightning login if your wallet supports it, it's how I signed up using Phoenix.
Did you provide an email address?
reply
I personally did, but it's optional if you create an account that way to my knowledge.
Help guides say otherwise, but I say use a temp email if you refuse to disclose your real one.

Yes. I know I could use that work around. I still don't think it should be a requirement at this point. They are competing with The Bitcoin Company, which is bitcoin only and has a simple, private, LN registration process.

I'd say the draw with Bitrefill is that you don't necessarily need an account to use it compared to something like TBC (from what I've seen, at least) unless you need something with higher limits, which requires basic (email) or full (KYC) verification.
It's why I made an account eventually after using it pseudo-anonymously.

I said "make an account" for TBC, but all that entails is connecting an anonymous LN wallet for LN auth and for payment.

Just saw that upon further poking around; did TBC ever offer fully anonymous purchasing the way Bitrefill does currently, or was an account (even if Lightning-only) always a prerequisite?
reply
I don't know. I think the SN Austin brain trust knows the guys from TBC.
