i might set up a quick bot which fetches new comments from this post every minute and then automatically tries to pay any new invoice it found (with a sat limit per user)

Mhh, won't be able to do it today. In a full train rn and didn't have enough time before I had to catch it. The library I wrote for @hn doesn't support fetching individual items yet.

Maybe I'll be able to do this later today.

But there aren't many invoice pay requests anyway, so maybe you can indeed handle them by pasting their invoices into withdraw or using their LN address :) (jist replace stacker.news with sn.ekyzis.com)

sure, no rush! and fun fact: I browsed some SN history last night, and it turned out many posts in the tech section are either VPN, de-google or privacy-related, yet we are on a site full of devs, unbelievable 😳

I used to love playing with zapier, I'm surprised that not many bot tools exist in the LN world? or maybe I didn't try too hard to find them.

My only feedback would be to make those upload & markdown icons larger and more spaced… as the tappable area with 2 buttons there (particularly on mobile) is reduced.

ah yes, makes sense!

this site runs SN in a development build, not release build. so expect things to be slower. also, errors that would only log to your console will pop up in your face. you can just close them and the site should continue to run just fine. i might be able to run the release build but we have some dependencies to the production infrastructure so it wasn't trivial. will look into this as well as the invoice issue.

the site is loading quite slow

yes it does, i am actually not sure why. it uses a ssh reverse tunnel to my local machine and the development build, lol. so not sure what has the most impact on performance.

it doesn't run on tor so you're essentially going through tor and then access the site on clearnet so it literally does more than visiting the site directly from clearnet to clearnet. so that's ... interesting, lol

why not? was there an error? if you landed on the site but an error showed up, you can just close it.
