I saw an announcement by somebody in a node runners telegram group. That was like in the 1st or 2nd day of SN existence. I bookmark it but didn't create an account until later at SN item #166 when I start posting on SN. Yes, I was one of the few first users of SN. Also the 1st SN github repo issue was by me, with a question.
yep, right around the api changes to kill third party apps, i heard it mentioned a few times there as an alternative. thank god reddit decided to piss off all it's mods and users, otherwise i might never have found this place
My first though were gosh, it's been nearly a year, how could I remember. It's just that I'm on SN an that's it, as if I was always there. Then I though a bit more deeply about it and how I found it:
├── Listening since months to the podcast Bitcoin Dad Pod ├── Getting everything out of Binance and Coinbase (converting shitcoins to BTC) ├── Reading 10x Security Bitcoin Guide (How to store bitcoin without any single point of failure. ) ├── Buying sats through RoboSats ├── Reading the doc and particularly this page RoboSats Quick-Start from the bonds page ├── Discovering SN 🥳
Someone blogged about it on Publish0x. Was intrigued to check it out. Managed to utilise my 2 free sats to get more zaps - and have been enjoying the stay ever since
