Nostr is not #instagram, nor #twitter. It's a #protocol! We should start #marketing specific #nostrapp s as valid alternatives to the #centralized ones...

I've argued that Nostr has no future if it remains just another social media protocol. Since writing that essay. there has been some progress in expanding Nostr beyond social media, but only a little bit. And most of the progress has been prototypes.
I recently started designing a client that would send SSH traffic over a Nostr relay, for C&C purposes. It would use ephemeral events for everything. I haven't had time to write any code, so if any programmer is interested, let me know. I might post something on Github (and link to it on SN).

Thanks for sharing your writings and feedback, appreciated. There's not too much philosophy to do here. It's just a comms issue. The use of nostr for social media is a great use case and is helping a lot of onboarding newbies into it... Forget about accounts and learn about security, privacy and freedom of speech.
PS: the title of it make the association itself. I suggest updating it accordingly ;)

Nostr is not Twitter but it's more than being a social. It's a decentralized social and protocol as you have said.

Lol because that's what the vast majority of clients offer, and its something that's easily translatable for the individual, its the one that gets the users through the door
