I also think how you travel changes this a lot. When I hear people talk about how they've traveled the world it sounds impressive, but you drill down and all they've done is sit on planes and essentially teleport to different places.
Travel long journeys by car, or even better bicycle or by foot, and it's a whole lot more fulfilling. You see and experience things so differently because you're actually putting the work into travel.
Your method of moving becomes productive, engaging, problem solving. You're using your body and mind.
Flying isn't so much travel, as it it continuous arrival.

at the very least, dont think it's a bad thing to see the world just for the sake of it!

Definitely agree on the traveling thing. A month is my limit now. Once I've hit that, I start thinking I should be working on a project, fixing something - anything but just consuming. And lots of travel is just consuming, just parading things in front of my eyeballs that are cool, yes, but there's a limit to how long I want to do it. Having good conversations with new people can help a lot in terms of making travel feel productive and engaging. That can be hard to find, though.
