Cons:
- it has its own token, but that's not an issue if you only hold it for a few minutes
Pros:
- atomic swaps between BTC <-> XMR
- more decentralized than Liquid, Cashu and Fedimint, at least as it stands

Honestly though you can hold it much much longer than 5 minutes. Just depends. Sometimes you'll make a small gain or small loss but it ends up a wash usually. There are months where Monero will have more gains than Bitcoin. In fact, Monero made about +200% gain over Bitcoin the whole year of 2022. Check for yourself if you don't believe me.
It's only on a scale of years or longer where it really matters.

No, the market doesn't agree with you.
Where privacy matters most, namely on Dark Web marketplaces, Monero is accepted everywhere and BTC is being withdrawn and actively discouraged.
Price charts are inconsequential here, because we're talking about payments, not hodling.
