There's talk of increasing the cost of posting. Hopefully, that will address it.
I think part of the issue is that we've been zapping content at much larger magnitudes (which I whole-heartedly endorse) and that might be drawing new people to the site. With any luck, they'll assimilate and start adding value once they realize that's how to get the biggest rewards.
I think down zapping is also good.

I really feel good when I flag with some sats a shity post, because I know that those sats are going back to the posts/users that deserve them.

Yes, peak pricing to be specific, aka global fee escalation.
@Undisciplined had a really simple version where
base cost = num posts in last hourWe could also just raise the base fee. There's also someone zapping nearly every post 10 sats which makes practically every post profitable.
