Yeah. I was kind of joking. There's an English expression "let sleeping dogs lie." It means if something could potentially be a problem, don't stir it up.

Haha, I will probably not be able to hold back my happiness, so there will be lots of photos, maybe too much
I've been thinking about a dog for a long time so I don't think I'll ever not want a dog anymore. I am pretty sure that this is what I want. I just know how much effort it can be (or at least don't want to underestimate it) and it's hard to tell if my current situation in life is good for a dog. And I am already sad when thinking about me surviving him or her even though I don't even have a dog yet, lol
Maybe I should start reading books about raising a dog. But I have also read that maybe, I shouldn't start with a puppy but a dog which was already raised by someone ... 🤔 But there are probably tons of books on other stuff about dogs.
But currently no idea when I'll be ready for one. Planning to meet @k00b in Austin next year and then, let's see where I'll end up.

You are already ahead. Many people act before thinking about the responsibility. It's good to think it through. I read all the books before I got my first dog. I always got a puppy, but you have to do what's best for you.
