Yes, I do that almost every week. Is fun, a lot of exercise, no need to go to gym, keeps you healthy and in good shape. You need a good ax and ... no fear. Confidence in your hands and muscles. I get wood in big pieces from near by source (a lot of forest to cleanup around and is free). So each few days I am cutting and splitting woods in small pieces for my fireplace. Few 1-2h / day is more than enough.
Maybe @orthwyrm should include this in his daily exercise routine. For every 10 push up, you have to crop up one piece of wood.

I'd probably have to do it somewhere else. Don't think I can chop wood in a disabled toilet.

Lmao. That got me cracking.

People around here have these splitter devices, but my brothers in law use your method.

I prefer to use my bare hands. Cap knows what I'm talking about. Lol. https://qph.cf2.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-bb922fbaa26c1602361092f2372c0a73

I have an electric splitter too, but that one is only for hard vines wood, that is really hard to split manually. Is more enjoyable with the ax, especially when is a sunny day, half naked in the sun, taking a sun bath and making exercise. Is really good for your health, you are expelling all the toxins from your body in just 1h.

@darthcoin half naked in the sun, an ax and with a beer in both hand, wild.
