I'm a big Scorsese fan, so I was nervous going in that it was over hyped and might tarnish his legacy. Nah. Great film. My wife is reading the book. You're right. The number of murders were horrifying. Also, the dehumanization of "the other" that causes genocides still goes on.

I like we are expanding meta into so many different subjects but I am at a loss on this one. I couldn't even tell you one film nominated for best picture.

Saw it twice so far. I think it's a story that couldn't come at a better time.
If you're a book person instead, it's based on American Prometheus
The Manhattan Project certainly had security issues. I image the government learned from their mistakes.
