As a bank technologist - are you familiar with Ibis? :) I had the honor to use it recently (and the surrounding tooling for international settlement) and ... oh my, what the actual fuck, is this really how banks work?

Yes I am familiar. As much as technology has evolved the banking system still has a lot of legacy systems that would make most internet users cringe.
